“A member of our church (Ruth) arrived at distribution to help distribute donated boxes and spoke with Christie our site director about her neighbor. Ruth took two boxes to her neighbor a grandmother raising her 4 grandchildren. Her daughter was recently incarcerated and dad has never been in the picture. The grandmother was already having a hard time on her fixed income when her grandchildren moved in. Ruth had been secretly buying clothes and shoes for the kids noticing they would often run around the apartment complex barefooted and in ratty clothes. When Ruth knocked on the door the day of distribution she didn’t realize the value she had in the two boxes of food. The grandmother welcomed her in and as they started unpacking the boxes the grandmother started crying and told Ruth she had no idea how she was going to provide a Christmas dinner for the kids, the grandson even made the comment “wow we have food to eat, even meat”, she thanked Ruth and River of Life for the incredible gift of food.” – River of Life Church
“A member of our church Randy had co-worker in his 40s who died suddenly of a heart attack recently leaving his family in great financial strain and in no hope of any Christmas. Randy and his wife Pearl took one of the church donated boxes to his widow and she was overwhelmed with joy thanking the church for the Christmas blessing for her and her 2 kids.” – River of Life Church
“I gifted a box to a nurse to give to her friend who is very ill. She picked the box up and was so grateful herself…She told me today that her friend called her 4 times yesterday so very grateful saying that the food filled up his freezer. She was just overflowing with gratitude. Little things touch lives and make a big impact!” – River of Life Church

Jean Moncada of Valley Forge Christian College says, “I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful blessing of the food box. It is a much better quality of food than Angel Food. The chicken breasts were out of this world and the veggies are of any grocery store quality. Even the powdered mash potatoes were good! We’re going to eat the lasagne tonight. We’re saving the whole chicken, stuffing and pie for Christmas dinner. I’m looking forward to trying their beef in next month’s box. I am now sold on Good Faith Food boxes!”
